Man arrested in Walmart theft and dog fighting

A man has been arrested for allegedly stealing clothing and other items from a Walmart store and stealing a dog fighting ring, according to a criminal complaint.

According to the complaint, a woman reported the theft on Sunday, Jan. 20.

Walmart employee James Cone contacted the department of public safety to report the theft.

The department later identified Cone as the suspect, the complaint said.

Cone is charged with one count of theft by unlawful taking and one count each of false imprisonment and pet fighting, the Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement.

He is being held at the Los Alamitos County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
