Woman says she was raped by man after he refused to pay for her new wardrobe

Posted September 06, 2018 11:36:32A man was arrested after police said he assaulted a woman while she was walking home in the suburb of Perth.

The 32-year-old woman told police she was attacked by the man, who she described as a “small, dark-haired man”, after he said he was going to pay the rent.

Police said they had been called to the area on Tuesday to a report of a woman walking in the town’s eastern suburbs.

Police were called to a property at 3200 Kimberley Highway after a report that a woman was attacked.

Police arrested the man and a 23-year old woman from the nearby suburb of Mottondale.

The woman was taken to hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The 23-old was released after being assessed for her injuries.
